My reaction: Thank you. I will take that as a compliment. Overall, good looking people from islands. Being from an island sounds way more interesting than someone who is not from a body of water. I feel like the closer the water you are the better looking. People who don’t live near a body of water just seem a little off to me. Maybe it’s the essence, energy, and vitality of water. I’m just glad he didn’t say you look like someone from South Dakota or the Great Plains because that would be an insult.

My son started kindergarten this week. It’s his first taste of school as a child. I was told by his mother that he was crying at the end of the day during pick up. When asked how he day went he replied, “my day was sad”. How is my kid emo at the age of 4? Kindergarten is supposed to be the most fun you’ll ever have in school. All you do is play. I should’ve known he was going to cry because I was a crier. I’ve cried all my life. I cried in 5th grade when some kids made fun of me. I cried in college when I used to go out drinking. I cried during an episode of Fuller House last year. I cry when I’m not supposed to cry. I guess it’s good that he showing emotion and not bottling it up. Keep crying Son. Let it out.
hand germs
I saw a guy in the Home Depot bathroom wash his hands before he went to take a dump. Finally someone has got it right. I’ve been preaching this method for months. You need to wash your hands before you use the bathroom. You wash your hands before you eat so why not before you use the bathroom. Stop bringing hand germs to your a$$.
play by play
I have a co worker who talks out loud of the work task she is currently doing. I don’t need a play by play analysis of all the work your doing or going to do. I have my own work to do. I don’t have time to listen to everything you have to do. My job is working and listening to people all day. I don’t have the energy and empathy to hear anything else. My ears and brain can only handle so much input. It’s quite annoying to hear someone say, “Okay.. now I’m going to check my email, respond to this person, and then write a note… then I’m going to make a phone call and divulge all the unnecessary details of information that you don’t need to know”. Ayi Ayi make the madness stop. Is your husband not giving you enough attention at home? I don’t want to be your ‘work husband’.
bad day solution
I like when my gf has a bad day. I mean I should say, I like that I can be there for her when she has a bad day. It gives me a sense of purpose in the relationship. It gives me a chance to be there for her. It gives me a chance to be a good partner. If she always had good days then I would be obsolete as a partner. But if her bad days keep coming then I know I got job security. I can always be there. Nowadays its easy to be there for someone. All you have to do is buy a flower, a bottle of wine, or write a sweet something on post it note. Have I done any of those things? No. But I have given her a hug and said, “it’s okay”.
chef sweat
I went to a restaurant with my best friend and his family. I knew we should’ve left right away when the cook was also the owner, the waiter, and dishwasher came out in athletic shorts and a t shirt sweating. Mind you there was no one in the restaurant at 7:00pm on a Friday Night. That should’ve been the first cue to leave but we were already in, there was no turning back. I also would’ve felt bad too. He was very sweaty for a Chef who had no orders. He did say he cooked for the Milwaukee Brewers professional baseball team. We later found out that he was cooking for the brother of a player on the Milwaukee Brewers team. That doesn’t count. You can’t say you are cooking for a professional baseball team when it’s the brother of a player. Anyways, we waited for an hour for our food. The food was okay. He claimed that he makes everything fresh but judging by what I got, I assumed it was fresh from the can.

The sweatier the chef the better the food right? I don’t know if that’s a saying but it should be. I don’t care how sweaty he was as long as he washed his hands before using the bathroom like that guy at Home Depot. I seriously believed in mankind again when I saw that guy wash his hands before using the bathroom. It brought tears of joy to me. Not tears of sadness like my son in kindergarten or from my gf who had a bad day. Good tears. I know I ragged on my coworker for giving me a play by play at work but that’s exactly what I do each week in my blog. I guess I’m a hypocrite but I’m a hypocrite that looks like he’s from the islands.
